Letter: Incredible life merits attention
By Brent Johnson, Hadley
On July 3, at the age of 97, Louis Zamperini died peacefully. His incredible story is in the book “Unbroken.”
He was an Olympic runner. He served in World War II. His plane crashed over the Pacific Ocean, and he spent 47 days on a raft. He then became a prisoner of the Japanese and spent 2 1/2 years in confinement, receiving extremely cruel treatment.
His story will be made into a movie. I hope you will either read the book or see the movie.
