Letter: Outgoing legislator supports Weber
For the last 10 years, it has been an honor and a privilege to represent the hardworking people of southwestern Minnesota in the state legislature. I would like to thank you for your support and involvement in the legislative process. I am humbled to have served as an advocate for this region in St. Paul.
Despite the many challenges, we accomplished much during my time in the Senate. In the last two years, we turned a $6.2 billion budget deficit into a $1.2 billion surplus. In addition, our area will benefit from an increase in education funding, property tax reforms, and critical infrastructure investments.
However, we still have a lot of work to do, and we need a strong voice in the Senate to advocate for jobs in our rural economy. That is why I am endorsing Bill Weber for the Minnesota State Senate.
As a small business owner, Bill Weber understands the economic realities of rural Minnesota and what it takes to encourage job growth. As an elected city leader, Bill Weber has experience collaborating with others to get things done. From ensuring the best education for our students to promoting our agricultural resources, Bill Weber understands the importance of hard work and best reflects our collective values.
Again, I would like to thank the people Southwestern Minnesota for trusting me to represent their best interests over the past decade. Come November, I will be casting my vote of trust for Bill Weber.
