Letter: Poor example of shutdown's impact

I was a little shocked and a lot angry when I picked up the Daily Globe to see our "leaders" in the community outraged over the shutdown in that Coors beer might be taken off the shelf.

I was affected by the shutdown, and what I am outraged by is the mentally ill that could not see their counselors; the individuals needing crisis center help; dislocated workers struggling to pay $1,000 for their Cobra payments; single parents who had to go a minimum of seven days before any income would be coming into their homes; families who struggled to make payments because their income was taken away due to the shutdown, and my list could go on and on of real outrage due to the shutdown.

I felt it was a very poor example to use of how the impact in just our community was affected.
