Thank you to our first-time donors: Amy Dykema, Bigelow; Quintin Van Huyssteen, Brewster; Jeremy Majerus, Lakefield; and Curtis DeVries, Darcy Poppema, Ruth Putnam, Debra Weg, Michael Weg, Stephen Woitalewicz and Kyle Zingler, Worthington.

We also wish to thank our long-time donors who reached a milestone in blood donation: Ned A. Jones, Round Lake, 11 gallons; Jim Vander Veen, Round Lake, 14 gallons; Sarah Huls, Worthington, 1 gallon; Wendy Huls, Worthington, 2 gallons; and Viola Larson, Worthington, 18 gallons.

A special thank you to the American Reformed Church, who graciously provides their facilities for our blood drives; Burger King, Dairy Queen and Pizza Ranch, Worthington, for providing coupons for our donors; and Scott Rall, LPL Financial, Worthington, for providing the food served in the canteen. The RSVP members call donors, schedule appointments and enter the information into the computer. Thank you to our volunteers who help with registration and work in the canteen.

Donating blood is a simple thing to do, but it can make a big difference in the lives of others. The next American Red Cross blood drive will be from 1 to 7 p.m. July 10 at American Reformed Church, Worthington. Mark your calendar, and give the gift of life.
