Lucille Jeanette Tryon

Lucille Jeanette Tryon, age 94, was born on February 25, 1919, in Ruso, ND, the daughter of Henry H. and Mable (Muse) Frerking. She lived 10 years in Yankton, 3 years in Parker and Marion, SD and the past 81 years in Worthington, MN. Lucille married George E. Tryon Jr. on July 5, 1936 and they had five children. She worked at Andersons Fashion Shop as a certified form fitter and at Bishops Clothing as a sales lady in a mens store. Lucille also was a sales lady at Woolworths and also did volunteer work in Worthington. She loved to do crafts and sew special items for the holidays to give to family and friends. Lucille enjoyed photography and has dozens of albums of people she knew and places she traveled to in the United States and Canada. What she enjoyed most in life after family and friends was her many flower beds, she would spend countless hours tending to them. Lucille died on Friday, January 3, 2014, at the Sanford Worthington Medical Center in Worthington, MN.

Lucille is survived by her daughter, Gloria of Worthington; son, Brad of Worthington; four grandsons; two granddaughters; two great grandsons; one great granddaughter and friends in Canada, England and the United States. We will all miss her smile and great sense of humor and wit.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Vivian Hudson, Beverly Wibbens and Byrl Wessinger; husband, George; two sons, Donald and Arnold; daughter, Anne (Sheila) Meier and special friend, Walter Beuthien.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2014, at 1:00 p.m., at the Benson Funeral Home Chapel in Worthington, MN, with Pastor Joe Behnke officiating. Burial will be in the Worthington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2014, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., at the Benson Funeral Home in Worthington.
