Minn. man killed at Sioux Falls post office
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- The identity of a Minnesota man killed in what authorities are calling an industrial accident will be released this morning during a news briefing with the Sioux Falls Police Department, according to a public information officer.
The man, whose identity was being withheld pending notification of family, was found at the Post Office on Fourth Avenue in Sioux Falls by workers at the facility at approximately 8 a.m. Tuesday.
Investigation at the scene showed the 58-year-old victim was operating an electric left when he was pinned between the lift and an object attached to the ceiling of the facility.
Workers at the facility called 911. The Sioux Falls Police Department, Sioux Falls Fire Rescue and Rural/Metro Ambulance were dispatched to the scene.
