Motorcycle accident causes fatality
JACKSON --A 32-year-old man died as a result of a motorcycle crash Monday night in Jackson County.
Jason Clair Libengood of rural Jackson was operating a 600cc Yamaha cycle, traveling westbound on Jackson County 4 at about 10:30 p.m. when he failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway near the intersection of Minnesota 264. The cycle entered the south ditch, struck a sign, and Libengood was thrown from the bike. He was transported to Sanford Worthington Medical Center, where he died from his injuries.
The motorcycle was a total loss.
The Jackson County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate the accident. Assisting at the scene were the Nobles County Sheriff's Office, Round Lake Fire Department and Sanford Worthington Ambulance.
