Names released after head-on collision puts two people in critical condition

WORTHINGTON - Two people were in critical condition and four others were injured after a head-on collision at 11:57 a.m. Tuesday on Minnesota 60 south of Worthington.
Cheri Macartney, 50, of Rosemount, was driving a 2002 Jeep Liberty south on Minnesota 60 when she lost control on the icy road and skidded into the path of a 2006 Ford pickup truck heading north.
Macartney and one of her two passengers, Peter Macartney, 25, of Rosemount, were in critical condition following the accident. Amber Halberg, 25, of Roseville, Cheri's other passenger, received non-life-threatening injuries.
Lindsay Aho, 24, of Mankato, the driver of the Ford, and passenger Joel Aho, 49, of St. Peter, both received non-life-threatening injuries. Passenger Allison Aho, 6, of St. Peter, received minor injuries in the collision.
Icy roads lead to crash
Two vehicles crashed shortly before noon Tuesday, injuring several people. The crash was reported at 11:44 a.m. on Minnesota 60/U.S. 59, about two miles south of Worthington. Two Worthington ambulances, a Sibley, Iowa ambulance, Bigelow and Worthington Rescue squads and the Minnesota State Patrol responded, along with the Nobles County Sheriff's Office. Information regarding the condition of the drivers and passengers was unavailable Tuesday evening.
