Obituary: Angie Moore
Angelia May Moore, 34, was born on May 31, 1974, in Worthington, MN, the daughter of Doyle and Ruby (Obermoller) Moore. She grew up in Worthington and was an active 4-H member. Angie graduated from Worthington Senior High School in 1992, and received her Business Degree from Minnesota West Community College in Worthington. She loved all sports especially softball, hunting, and fishing and found great joy in introducing her nieces and nephews to those activities. Angie had passion for helping kids, youths, and adults with special needs. Her clients were like a second family to her. She was a former and dedicated employee of CCSI of Worthington and had continued to work there while she was attending college in Mankato. In 2004, she moved to Amboy, MN, to pursue an Engineering Degree at Minnesota State University, Mankato. She was currently working at an internship at Emerson Network Power in Waseca, MN, in addition to the job she held and loved at Harry Meyering Center, in Mankato since 2004.
She was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Anyone who knew her, knew of her dedication to her family, friends, pets, and the numerous members of her adopted family that she worked with. Her laugh was infectious and her smile contagious. Once you met her, you never forgot her. Angie died on Monday August 18, 2008, at Immanuel St. Joseph Hospital in Mankato, MN, following a motorcycle accident in Mapleton, Minnesota.
Angie is the youngest of seven children. She is survived by her parents, Doyle and Ruby Moore of Worthington, MN; brother, Dayle (Kimberly) Moore of Mankato, MN, and their children, Lauren, Natalie, Brandon, and Dayton; brother, Larry (Carole) Moore of Woodway, TX, and their children, Elizabeth, Laurie, and Jonathan; sister, Kristine (Jon) Cowan of Fulda, MN, and their children, Micheal, Christopher, David, and Scott; brother, Travis (Lori) Moore of St. Paul, MN, and their son, Jordon; brother, Bryan (Rebecca) Moore of Madelia, MN, and their children, Linnea and Terry. She is also survived by her grandfather, Alvin Obermoller of Brewster, MN, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by one infant sister, Angel; grandparents, Ed and Linnea Moore, and grandmother, Lucille Obermoller.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2008, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Worthington, MN, with the Rev. Wayne Krohe officiating. Casket bearers will be Paul Kepka, Daniel Poss, Steven Moore, Shannon Moore, Christopher Janssen, Jonathon Obermoller, Scott Obermoller, and Mark Obermoller. Burial will be in the Worthington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 pm on Friday August 22, 2008 at the Benson Funeral Home in Worthington and from 9:30-10:30 am at the church on Saturday.
