PIPESTONE -- The 24th annual Watertower Festival will take place this weekend in Pipestone.

The 5K and 10K Run will start at 7 p.m. tonight. The event is sponsored by Anytime Fitness, Carrow's True Value, Pipestone Active Living and Pipestone County Medical Center. Registration is available online at www.allsportcentral.com.

There will be a Las Vegas-style dueling pianos show featuring Dueling Duos from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight, followed by a street dance with The Andy Gibson Band from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Hiawatha Avenue. In case of rain, the dance will be in the American Legion hall.

On Saturday, the Kids Fun Run will begin at 8:30 a.m. at Moore Park. Pre-registration is encouraged, and the event is sponsored by First Bank and Trust.

The parade will start at 10 a.m. Saturday with Maurice Bickford acting as the Grand Marshal.

Kids' inflatables will be on the courthouse lawn from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and are sponsored by McDonald's, First Bank and Trust, Kids-N-Coins Club and Pipestone Active Living.

Horse rides will be offered from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday by the 4-H Horse Project.

The Men's Legends Softball Game will start at 4 p.m. Saturday and the Ladies' Recent Grad Softball Game at 6 p.m., both in Harmon Park.

The Great Plains Tractor Pullers Tractor Pull will be at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Pipestone County Fairgrounds.

The Youth Baseball Tournament for youths ages 10 to 14 will be at the ball fields Saturday and Sunday.

"Tarzan: The Stage Musical" will be presented by the Calumet Players today, Saturday and Sunday and June 27-30 at the Pipestone Performing Art Center. For more information, contact the center at 1-877-722-2787.
