Prep Baseball: Arrows sweep doubleheader versus Redwood Valley

PIPESTONE -- The Pipestone Arrows outscored the Redwood Valley Cardinals 28-15 in a pair of games during a Southwest Conference baseball doubleheader Saturday.

The Arrows took game one 8-7, with Brady Bos going six and two-thirds innings on the mound to get the win. Mauricio Sada came in to get the final out of the seventh to get the save.

Bos also led Pipestone at the plate in Game 1, going 2-for-3 with three RBIs, while Gunner Manderscheid went 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Jaymes Zollner had three hits and one RBI on the day.

Damian Skyberg started the game on the mound for Pipestone, going two and two-thirds innings, while Justine Rops came in to finish the game in the second.

Alex Ossefoort, Zollner, Skyberg and Manderscheid all picked up three RBIs on the day, while Josh Mabon and Bos each added two RBIs.

The Arrows host Luverne in a Southwest Conference doubleheader Tuesday.

Tracy-Milroy-Balaton 0

ADRIAN -- Brady Lonneman and Ian Ruppert combined to pitch a one-hit shutout for the Adrian Dragons over the Tracy-Milroy-Balaton Panthers Saturday.

The Dragons scored the only runs of the game in the third inning when Panther's pitcher Jordan Lanoue walked Tony Sieve (pinch run for by Michael Pruess) and then allowed Jacob Diekmann-Bullerman to single. Logan Rogers singled in the next at-bat to score Pruess, then Jordan Bertrand smashed a two-RBI double to the outfield to give the Dragons their 3-0 lead.

Lonneman allowed the only hit in the game in three innings pitched to get the win for Adrian, while Ruppert pitched the final four innings without allowing a hit.

Lanoue pitched all six innings for T-M-B, walking two and striking out two. Cory Apperson picked up the only hit for the Panthers.

Adrian (5-4) hosts Murray County Central in a doubleheader Tuesday, while T-M-B (7-3) takes on Renville County West today.
