Prep baseball: SWU edges Adrian 2-0

ADRIAN— In a high school baseball game moved to Adrian due to field conditions, the Southwestern United Wildcats won the duel and overcame Adrian, 2-0.

Aaron Fest picked up the win, pitching seven complete innings for the Wildcats, striking out seven Adrian batters and walking only three. The losing pitcher for Adrian was Brady Lonneman, who pitched two complete innings, allowing two unearned runs on three errors.

Austin Heitbrink had a hit for SWU, and Issac Fest went 2-3 with a run scored and four stolen bases. Jordan Bertrand and Tony Sieve had a hit apiece for Adrian.

MOUNTAIN LAKE — Andrew Hirsch three-hit Edgerton/Southwest Christian threw seven innings, walking just one and striking out 12.

Luke Nibbelink took the loss.

Levi Jahnke went 3-for-4 for the Wolverines while Carter Kirk homered and Eric Winter doubled.

Brogan Mohlenkamp had two hits in three at bats for E/SWC.

Mountain Lake Area is now 6-4 overall and 4-1 in Red Rock Conference play.
