WINDOM --The host Windom Eagles lost a pair of tight baseball games Friday.

Southwest Conference rival Jackson County Central edged Windom 5-4 in one game, and in another Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial came away with an 8-6 victory.

Zach Copely had two hits to lead the victorious Huskies and Jordan Biehn was the winning pitcher in relief. Kyle Luhmann pitched the seventh to pick up the save.

Travis Janssen had two hits for the Eagles.

Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial collected three hits from Shane Nelson and Chuck Menne in the later non-conference affair and teammate Bryan Davis, who had two hits, tripled. Menne, who drove in four runs, also was the winning pitcher.

Janssen and Brandon Thongvivong had three hits apiece for the Eagles.
