PREP BOYS BASKETBALL: Rogotzke lifts RRC to win vs. Edgerton
LAMBERTON -- Henry Rogotzke scored 22 of his game-high 28 points in the second half to power the Red Rock Central Falcons to a 77-58 win over the Edgerton Flying Dutchmen on Tuesday in a Red Rock Conference boys basketball game.
The Falcons took a 16 point lead into halftime and used Rogotzke's 22 second half points to pull away from the Dutchmen.
Rogotzke also chipped in eight rebounds and six assists for Red Rock Central, while Jeff DeCock added 14 points and 13 assists. Tyler Halland also picked up a double-double for the Falcons on 10 points and 10 rebounds.
The Dutchmen were led by Brett Ford who had 15 points to go along with seven rebounds and seven assists by Isaac Heard. Jesse Berning added eight points in the game.
Red Rock Central (9-6, 6-3) takes on Southwest Christian Friday in Edgerton, while Edgerton (4-9, 3-6) travels to Westbrook-Walnut Grove Friday.

Hills-Beaver Creek 64,
FULDA -- Dylan Gehrke had a team-leading 16 points for the Hills-Beaver Creek Patriots in a win over the Fulda Raiders Tuesday.
The Patriots trailed by two after the first half, but went 14-for-22 in the second half for 37 points to pull out the win.
Jeff Sandbulte picked up a double-double for Hills-Beaver Creek with 14 points and 11 rebounds, while Carey Taubert had 14 points. Dalton Bass scored 11 points for the Patriots to go along with 17 rebounds and seven points by Jon Gallagher.
Fulda was led by Andy Oakland, who had 15 points and seven rebounds, while Zach Holt added 11 points in the game.
The Patriots (6-9, 4-5) travel to Slayton to take on Murray County Central Friday, while Fulda (6-12, 4-5) hosts Russell-Tyler-Ruthton Saturday.

OKABENA -- Effectively rotating two five-man groups throughout the game, Southwestern United broke open a tight contest with 14-0 run midway through the first half and held a double-figure lead most of the second half in posting a 14-point win over Westbrook-Walnut Grove.
Andrew Kramer scored a game-high 19 points to lead the Wildcats (7-7, 5-4), while Brandon Thurk contributed 13 points and five rebounds.
Cole Bosma netted 12 points and Zach Schumacher (three blocks) tallied nine points for SWU, which put nine players in the scoring column.
Aaron Fest (seven rebounds, four assists), Matt Soto (three steals, three assists) and Mark Ferguson (three assists) were among the other top contributors for the Wildcats, who have won four consecutive Red Rock Conference games.
Alex Knutson scored 13 points to lead the Chargers (6-9, 3-6), while Reed Bakken and Taylor Lindaman each had 10 points.
Aaron Hass and Shane Buchman contributed nine and eight points, respectively, for W-WG.
Both squads play conference games Friday, as the Chargers host Edgerton and the Wildcats travel to Adrian.

TRACY -- Brian Fultz nabbed a team-high 12 rebounds to go along with 13 points to help the Tracy-Milroy-Balaton Panthers take down Lakeview Tuesday.
The Panthers held a seven point lead at halftime and outscored Lakeview 29-26 in the second half to get the win.
Parker Lanoue had a team-high 14 points to go along with four rebounds for T-M-B, while Alex Swan had seven rebounds, five assists and eight points in the game.
Lakeview's leading scorer was Derek Larsen, who picked up 15 points in the game, while Jonah Dovre had 11 points, six rebounds and two blocks.
The Panthers (5-10, 3-5) hosts Luverne on Thursday.

LUVERNE -- Brett Heronimus picked up a game-high 18 points to go along with six rebounds and five assists to lead the Luverne Cardinals to a win over the Pipestone Area Arrows Tuesday.
Luverne jumped out to a 27-18 first half lead and used 31 second half points to keep their lead against Pipestone Area.
Matthew Arends was second on the team in scoring for the Cardinals with 14 points, four assists and four rebounds.
The Arrows were led by Jacob Derby who had 13 points and Brady Claussen with six points.
Luverne (12-5, 6-2) travels to Tracy-Milroy-Balaton Thursday, while Pipestone Area (5-10, 0-9) heads to Worthington Friday.

JACKSON -- Jon Harmening dropped 33 points and picked up 18 rebounds to power the Jackson County Central Huskies past the Windom Area Eagles Tuesday.
The Huskies outscored the Eagles 46-34 in the first half and ended the game shooting 67 percent to get the win.
Austin Hinckeldey was second in scoring for the Huskies with 17 points, while Taylor Christopher had 16 points and seven assists. Darnell-Taylor Breck had 10 points to rebound out the scoring for JCC.
Collin Lovell was the leading scorer for the Eagles with 24 points on the night. Nathan Remmers was second in scoring with 15 points.
The Huskies (10-7, 4-5) host St. James Saturday, while Windom Area (8-9, 2-7) hosts Redwood Valley on Friday.

EDGERTON -- Leighton Sampson scored a game-high 19 points and picked up four rebounds and four assists to help the Southwest Christian Eagles defeat the Ellsworth Panthers Tuesday.
The Eagles held a 32 point lead at halftime, but only outscored the Panthers 28-22 in the second.
Nibbelink put up 16 points, four rebounds and six assists for the Eagles in the game, while Eric Talsma had 12 points. Kaleb Schelhass added 11 points and five steals to go along with six assists by Clayton Huisken.
Ellsworth's leading scorer was Mitch Leuthold with 15 points. Tim Nolte added six points and five rebounds to go along with six points by Drew Cheskie.
Southwest Christian (14-1, 9-0) hosts Red Rock Central Friday, while Ellsworth (6-12, 5-5) hosts Mountain Lake Area Friday.

MOUNTAIN LAKE -- Carter Kirk picked up a double-double (17 points, 13 rebounds) to lead the Mountain Lake Area Wolverines to a victory over the Murray County Central Rebels.
The Wolverines led by nine at halftime, but used 32 second half points to extend their lead to 24 by halftime.
Josiah Stoesz chipped in 13 points and seven rebounds for the Wolverines, while Zach Dickens had 13 points on the night.
The Rebels were led by Jack Thony's 13 points.
Mountain Lake Area (15-2, 9-0) travels to Ellsworth Friday, while Murray County Central (2-12, 2-7) hosts Hills-Beaver Creek Friday.

SHELDON, Iowa -- Sioux Center's Torin Huisman scored a late 3-pointer to defeat the Sheldon Orabs on their home court Tuesday night.
The Orabs trailed by just one after the first half and took a 37-34 lead after three quarters. But Sioux Center outscored Sheldon 17-13 in the final frame to claim the win.
The Orabs (17-2, 13-2) host West Lyon on Friday.

ROCK RAPIDS, Iowa -- Nic Lutmer had a game-high 16 points to lead the Central Lyon Lions past the Sibley-Ocheyedan Generals Tuesday.
The Lions led by nine at the break and scored 25 second-half points to break away from the Generals.
Jesse Markus and Kalen Eckenrod both had 11 points for the Lions.
Devin Vander Veen led the Generals in scoring with eight points on the night.
Central Lyon (9-10, 5-10) travels Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire Friday, while Sibely-Ocheyedan (1-16, 0-15) hosts Boyden-Hull on Friday.
