MOUNTAIN LAKE - Carter Kirk turned in another double-double Tuesday night, leading Mountain Lake Area to its 12th consecutive victory as the Wolverines nudged Lake Cystal-Wellcome Memorial in a non-conerence clash, 71-62.

Kirk blocked five shots, scored 25 points and claimed 18 rebounds, helping MLA improve to 12-2 for the season.

Three other Wolverines tallied double figures as Josiah Stoesz (14 points, eight assists), Andrew Hempeck (12 points, five assists) and Zach Dickens (12 points) also had strong performances.

Gabe Jimenez had 14 points and five assists to lead the Knights (8-8), while Bryson Yackel and Sam Krahling scored 12 and 11 points, respectively.

MLA travels to Madelia Thursday for another contest against a Valley Conference opponent.

RRC 65, Sleepy Eye 48

LAMBERTON - Jeff DeCock scored 24 points and dished off seven assists, leading Red Rock Central to a convincing victory over Tomahawk Conference opponent Sleepy Eye.

Henry Rogotzke had a strong double-double with 18 points and 18 rebounds to help the Falcons improve to 6-6 for the season.

John Mangen netted a team-high 10 points for the Indians (4-9), who trailed by 12 at intermission.

RRC hosts Murray County Central in Red Rock Conference action Thursday evening.

ROCK RAPIDS, Iowa -- Nic Lutmer and C.J. Roths both scored 11 points to lead the Central Lyon Lions past Okoboji Tuesday.

The Lions led 26-20 at half, but were able to push their lead to 10 by the end of the game.

Along with his 11 points, Lutmer also brought down 12 rebounds for the Lions.

Alex Heller led Okoboji with 14 points.

The Lions (7-9) head to Boyden-Hull Friday.

PIPESTONE -- Jacob Derby put up 17 points, four assists and 11 rebounds to lead the Pipestone Arrows past the Tracy-Milroy-Balaton Panthers Tuesday.

The Arrows held just a one point lead at the intermission and were able to hold off the Panthers in the second half to claim the victory.

Collin Moeller also had 17 points for the Arrows to go along with six rebounds in the game.

The Panthers were led by Parker Lanoue with 17 points and three assists, while Brian Fultz had 14 points, three assist and five rebounds.

The Arrows (5-8) travel to Windom Area Friday, while the Panthers (4-10) take on Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg Thursday in Kerkhoven.
