Prep girls basketball: H-BC girls overcome halftime deficit
HILLS — Hills-Beaver Creek overcame a slight halftime deficit to defeat Adrian by a comfortable margin, 47-37, in high school girls basketball action Thursday night.
The Patriots executed their offense well in the second half and moved to 3-8 on the year with the 10-point triumph. Madison Fick and Taylor Wingert each scored 11 points for H-BC, and Kelli Esselink had a 10-point, 11 rebound double double. Avery Van Roekel chipped in 10 points and eight rebounds for the Patriots, who play at Red Rock Central tonight.
Elizabeth Thier paced Adrian with 11 points, and Jodi Bents contributed eight. Bailey Grussing added nine points for the Dragons.

WESTBROOK – Stacey Harder’s 19 point, 20 rebound double double aided Mountain Lake Area’s strong inside prescence as the Wolverines dominated the boards and made 22 free throws (22-33) to grab the win. Whitney Klassen spread four assists for MLA, which improves to 6-7.
Elizabeth Woelber led Westbrook-Walnut Grove with 12 points, while Mady Johnson and Dayna Comnick scored 10 apiece. Comnick also ripped down 17 rebounds, dished out two assists, and had three blocks.

TRACY – Cassandra Hook had a big night with 19 points and six steals to lead the Panthers to victory. Anna Peterson and Jessie Nelson both grabbed eight rebounds for Tracy-Milroy-Balaton.
Luverne was led by Tara Sudenga, who scored 10 points. Nicole Kneip had 10 points and eight rebounds for the Cardinals, and Kami Sawtelle supplied seven points.
