PREP GIRLS' BASKETBALL ROUDUP: Madson scores 33 in W-WG's win
BUTTERFIELD -- Chanel Madson nearly outscored her opponent by herself.
A senior of Westbrook-Walnut Grove's girls' basketball team, Madson scored 33 points, had six steals and dished out six assists as the Chargers defeated Mountain Lake/Butterfield-Odin 80-41 Tuesday night.
Paige Erickson added 15 points and five rebounds, while Molly Jarmer had 10 points and six steals.
Anne Woelber chipped in nine points and four assists for the Chargers (2-2, 2-1), who will host Adrian on Tuesday.
ML/B-O was led by Janessa Peters, who scored 14 points. Sada Kliewer added 10 points.

JEFFERS -- Jennifer Schmidt had an impressive 30 point, 16 rebound double-double as Southwest Star Concept earned a conference victory.
Conner DeWall added 13 points, while Courtney Place and Katey Granstra (eight rebounds) each scored 10 points for the Quasars, who had a 34-24 lead at halftime.
Alyssa Fredrickson scored 23 points, including 21 in the second half, for Red Rock Central, while Cierra Nickel added 18 points for the Falcons (1-3, 1-2), who will travel to the Wabasso tournament on Friday to face the host team.
SSC hosts Southwest Christian on Friday.

FULDA -- Leading by two points at halftime, Fulda outscored Hills-Beaver Creek 30-18 in the second half en route to a conference victory.
Courtney Hulstein scored 17 points to lead the Raiders, who recovered from two losses during the weekend by improving to 3-0 in the conference.
Brittany Hulstein added 10 points, six rebounds, four assists and four steals for Fulda, while Tiffany Gehl scored 12 points to go along with six rebounds.
Kassie Wilkening scored 11 points and had 10 rebounds for the Raiders, who will travel to Round Lake-Brewster on Friday.
Heather Kerner scored 20 points and had four steals to lead H-BC, while Jayme Plimpton added 10 points. Brooke Tilstra and Emily Kruger each had eight rebounds for the Patriots.

ADRIAN -- Karli Meyer scored 17 points and had six rebounds, leading the Dragons to their third conference victory of the season.
Hailee Heitkamp and Sydne Springman each scored 11 points for Adrian (4-0, 3-0), which had a 33-25 lead at halftime. However, the Dragons outscored Edgerton 34-13 in the second half to pull away for the victory.
Nichole Loosbrock dished out six assists for the Dragons, who outrebounded the Flying Dutchmen 32-21 in the game.
Edgerton was led by Lindsey Drooger's 18 points and eight rebounds.
Rachael Steffl added eight points for the Flying Dutchmen, who fall to 1-4 overall and 0-3 in the conference.
The Dragons travel to Wabasso on Friday for a tournament, while Edgerton visits Murray County Central on the same evening.

ROUND LAKE -- Murray County Central jumped out to a 26-13 lead at halftime en route to a 30-point victory.
Abby Van Meveren scored 12 points for the Rebels, while Crystal Van Iperen had 10 points and pulled down eight rebounds.
Makenzie Giese scored eight points for MCC (2-1, 2-0), while LeAnna Homandberg had five assists and three steals for MCC, which hosts Edgerton on Friday.
Olivia Stanton scored 13 points to lead Round Lake-Brewster, while Mara Eichenberger scored seven points. Mariah Feehan pulled down five rebounds for RL-B (1-3, 0-3), which will host Fulda on Friday.

EDGERTON -- Three different players had more than 10 rebounds as Southwest Christian's size was too much for Ellsworth.
Deidra Vander Woude scored 12 points and had 13 rebounds to go along with four steals to lead the Eagles (1-2, 1-1).
Megan De Ruyter scored a team-high 13 points and had seven rebounds and five steals for SWC, while Abby De Groot added eight points and five rebounds.
Amber Pater scored eight points to go along with five steals, while Alexia Pater also scored eight points and pulled down 11 rebounds.
Kaci Mouw added six points and 10 rebounds for the Eagles, who travel to Southwest Star Concept on Thursday.
Ellsworth (2-3) was led by Amber Walkowaik's 14 points.
Bridget Kramer added 13 points and four steals, while Andrea DeBoer (eight rebounds) and Abby Drenth (four steals) each contributed for the Panthers, who will travel to Luverne on Thursday.

WINDOM -- Sierra Even scored 22 points, had five steals, five rebounds and three assists, leading Windom to an 11-point victory against Fairmont.
Chelsea Garrison added 20 points and three assists, while Hannah Steele scored nine points for the Eagles (2-2), which had a 24-12 lead at halftime.
Kayla Lardy scored 12 points to lead Fairmont, while Kirsten True scored 11.
