PREP GIRLS' BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: Raiders throttle Knights 73-32 at SMSU

MARSHALL -- Fulda's girls' basketball team cruised by Russell-Tyler-Ruthton 73-32 Saturday at Southwest Minnesota State University.

Tiffany Gehl hit a career-high four 3-pointers en route to 19 points, while hauling in 10 rebounds to lead Fulda (19-5). Courtney Hulstein had 23 points and six assists, while Rachel Cheadle chipped in six points and 12 rebounds and Melissa Gehl added 18 points and eight rebounds for the Raiders.

R-T-R (5-15) was led by Leslie Willert (nine points).

Fulda will host Mountain Lake/Butterfield-Odin Thursday and R-T-R will host Hills-Beaver Creek today.

St. Peter 65, JCC 57

JACKSON -- Whitney Burmeister had 27 points, 14 reounds, four steals, two assists and two blocks, Kaylee Burmeister had 17 points and Julia Schumann had seven assists, but it wasn't enough for Jackson County Central (14-9) in girls' basketball action Saturday.

JCC led by nine with 10 minutes left and two with four minutes remaining, but were unable to hold off St. Peter (20-2).

JCC will travel to Tracy-Milroy-Balaton today.
