Raiders second at Minneota Invitational
MINNEOTA -- The Fulda Raiders (205) and Adrian Dragons (212) captured second and third place, respectively, at Tuesday's Minneota Viking Girls Invitational Golf Tournament.
The Raiders and Dragons were edged by host Minneota, which won the event with a team score of 184.
Lakeview placed fourth with 215 strokes, while Lincoln/HI (217) was fifth, Westbrook-Walnut Grove (220) sixth, Wabasso (226) seventh, MACCRAY (238) eighth and Russell-Tyler-Ruthton (242) ninth.
The medalist on the day was Lakeview's Andria Hinz, who shot a tournament best 43.
The Raiders were paced by Chrissy Wieskus with a round of 44, good for third place individually. Amanda Wilkening was second best for the Raiders with a round of 49. Brook Johnson and Liz Ciesieslski each shot 56 to round out Fulda's team score.
The Dragons were led by Brittany Loosbrock, who shot a 45 on the day to capture fourth place individually. Carmen Weineke followed with a round of 52, while Kelsey Altman and Laura Lorang finished with 57 and 58, respectively.
Alexis Quade led the Chargers with a solid round of 51. Danielle Osland turned in a 54, and Whitney Frank (56) and Ellie Vondracek (59) completed the Chargers' team score.
Fulda and W-WG visit Murray County Central on Thursday.
