Red Cross assists in Heron Lake fire
WORTHINGTON -- A Thursday fire in a Heron Lake home temporarily displaced a family of five.
Volunteers from the American Red Cross responded with help for the victims' immediate emergency needs.
Every nine minutes, the Red Cross responds to a fire or other disaster somewhere in the United States. In cases like this, the Red Cross works to meet the emergency physical needs of a family for food, shelter and clothing as well as providing emotional support.
