Red Cross training classes scheduled
WORTHINGTON -- The Southwest Minnesota Chapter of the American Red Cross will be offering an instructor training for individuals interested in becoming a certified instructor for the American Red Cross.
The two-day course will certify individuals to teach American Red Cross Lay Responder classes in first aid, CPR and automated external defibrillation (AED). The first aid/CPR/AED program is intended to be taught in the workplace or to the general public.
The training will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 5-6 at Minnesota West Community and Technical College, Worthington campus. Participants must be at least 17 years old.
Pre-registration is required by July 28. A fee includes all instructor and student-level textbooks and training materials. Instructors who wish to volunteer their teaching time may have the opportunity to receive a refund for a portion of the course fee.
