Christian school offers soup supper
WORTHINGTON — A Soup & Pie Supper will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m. today at Worthington Christian School, 1770 Eleanor St.
A variety of homemade soups, pulled pork sandwiches and pies and desserts will be served for a free-will offering.
LWML Rally set at Windom church
WINDOM — The Lutheran Women’s Missionary League Worthington Zone will have its Fall Rally Saturday at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Windom. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., with the rally at 9 a.m.
Guest speaker will be the Rev. William Utech of the Minnesota South District Office of Missions of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. He will address ministering to the people of various cultures moving into the area. A luncheon will follow.
Ingathering items will be distributed to food shelves in Nobles, Jackson and Cottonwood counties. Possible donations include paper products, cleaning supplies, soaps and detergents, hygiene items such as shampoo, toothpaste and deodorant, baby products and diapers.
Fall Fling slated for Saturday
WINDOM — First United Methodist Church’s Fall Fling will be Saturday in the church fellowship hall, located at 974 Sixth St., Windom.
A soup luncheon and sales will start at 11 a.m. Chili and chicken noodle soup will be served for a free-will offering. There will also be baked goods, produce and white elephant items for sale.
Turkey on menu in Lake Park
LAKE PARK, Iowa — Lake Park First Presbyterian Church’s Fall Dinner will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday.
The menu will include turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, corn, salads, pies and bars.
Tickets available for Selah concert
LUVERNE — Selah will be live in concert at 7 p.m. Saturday at the American Reformed Church, 304 N. Fairview Drive, Luverne.
Selah is a Christian music group featuring members Todd Smith, Allan Hall and Amy Perry.
The trio’s career has been hallmarked by seven Gospel Music Association Dove Awards, eight No. 1 singles, and sales exceeding 4 million album and single units combined.
Released in 2014, “You Amaze Us” is the group’s 10th album, combining new songs of faith with fresh interpretations of beloved hymns, such as “The Old Rugged Cross,” “I’d Rather Have Jesus,” and “Just as I Am.”

Gospel quartet to present concert
SIBLEY, Iowa —The Gospel Gold Quartet will perform a concert at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Sibley Christian Reformed Church, 116 Maple Drive.
Gospel Gold, a traditional four-part male quartet from Sioux Falls, S.D., will perform a variety of gospel music with a focus on old hymn and anthems of faith.
