RICK GRIMMIUS, age 62, of Worthington, died Monday, March 31, 2014 at Sanford Worthington Medical Center. He was born September 20, 1951 in Worthington to parents John and Katherine (Meyeraan) Grimmius. He graduated from Worthington High School in 1971.

Rick was united in marriage to Debra Jean Bottem on September 1, 1973 at Westminster Presbyterian Church. The couple made their home in Worthington their entire married life. He worked at Harvestor, Highland Manufacturing and then Pawn it.

He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Worthington. Rick loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, traveling, birds, gardening, watching his grandkids play sports, outside decorating for the Christmas holidays, softball, watching auto racing and his favorite was Jimmy Johnson. His favorite trip was to Alaska.

Rick is survived by his wife, Debra Jean Grimmius, Worthington; daughter, Angie Nicole (Steven) Rogotzke, Jackson; son Justin Wade (Monica) Grimmius, Worthington; six grandchildren, Jordan Nicole, Travis Henry, Tyler Gregory, Jordan Daniel, Kaitlyn Ann, and Cody LeeFrancis, one great grandchild, Brooklynne Ann, father and mother-in-law, Floyd and Doris Bottem, Worthington; sister, Donna (Jerome) Hancock, Windom; brother, Jimmy (Treasa) Grimmius, Sioux Falls.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Katherine Grimmius, his step-mother, Gladys (Hazelwood) Grimmius, brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Mary Grimmius and a sister Diane Killmer.

Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 7:30 PM at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington and continue on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at Westminster Presbyterian Church.

The funeral service will be Friday at 10:30 AM at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Worthington with Pastor Bonnie Roys officiating. Burial will be at Worthington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
