Riley elected VP of tourism group
SLAYTON -- Christy Surprenant Riley, Community Relations Coordinator for Murray County, was elected vice president of the Southern Minnesota Tourism Association (SMTA) at its annual meeting on Sept. 13 in Owatonna.
Riley has been involved with SMTA for several years and has served on both the Executive Board and Marketing Committee.
SMTA is a nonprofit organization that works with Explore Minnesota Tourism, chambers of commerce, convention and visitor bureaus, tourism businesses and southern Minnesota counties to promote southern Minnesota as a travel destination. The goal is to enhance the economic impact and quality of life for residents and visitors.
