Rock County Fair begins Wednesday

LUVERNE -- Rock County 4-H'ers completed conference judging of non-perishable items and clothing exhibitors participated in 4-H Fashion Revue judging on Monday, but the full slate of activity at the 2013 Rock County Fair begins Wednesday.

Following is a schedule of events:

Wednesday

3 to 7:30 p.m.: Open class exhibit registration

3 to 6 p.m.: 4-H Cloverbuds, foods, gardening and club exhibit judging

6 p.m.: 4-H Poultry Show

8 p.m.: 4-H Rabbit Show

Thursday

8 a.m.: 4-H Swine Show

10 a.m.: Floral Hall opens

11 a.m.: 4-H Dairy Show

1 to 10 p.m.: Rock County Historical Buildings open

2 p.m.: 4-H Goat Show

3:30 p.m.: 4-H Sheep Show

3:30 to 9:30 p.m.: Commercial Exhibit Buildings open

5:30 p.m.: Beef Feed, prepared by the Rock-Nobles Cattlemen's Association

5 to 6:30 p.m.: Singing Cowgirl

6 p.m. to midnight: Midwest Rides on the Midway

7 p.m.: Herman Motors Figure 8 Races

Friday

8 a.m.: 4-H Beef Show

10 a.m.: 4-H Horse Training, followed by horse showmanship and the horse pleasure show.

10 a.m.: Floral Hall opens

1 to 10 p.m.: Rock County Historical Buildings open

2:30 p.m.: Senior Citizens Day program

3 p.m. to midnight: Midwest Rides on the Midway

3:30 to 9:30 p.m.: Commercial Exhibit Buildings open

4 to 7 p.m.: Free Nitrate Testing by Rock County Land Management

4:30 p.m.: 4-H Pet Show

5:30 p.m.: 4-H Fashion Revue

5:30 p.m.: Pork Feed, prepared by the Rock County Pork Producers Association

7 p.m.: Rock County Talent Contest, sponsored by Sioux Valley Energy

Saturday

9 a.m.: 4-H Livestock Ribbon Auction

10 a.m.: Floral Hall opens

11 a.m.: 4-H Horse Games Show

1 to 10 p.m.: Rock County Historical Buildings open

2 p.m.: Kids Pedal Pull

3 p.m. to Midnight: Midwest Rides on the Midway

3:30 to 9:30 p.m.: Commercial Exhibit Buildings open

4 p.m.: 4-H Premier Showmanship

6 p.m.: 4-H Parade of Champions

7 p.m.: Bio Fuels Enduro Race, sponsored by the Rock County Corn and Soybean Growers Association
