From there, a day of shopping and fun is promised. There are 25 businesses participating in Sassy Saturday, with sales and treats available on this Saturday only.

“Last year 15 businesses participated in the event,” Worthington Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Darlene Macklin said. “Everyone had a great time, and we are pleased to say that an additional 10 businesses wanted to take part this year.”

Anyone who can correctly identify where the 15 included photos were taken will be entered to win an iPad, $100 in Worthington Chamber Checks or $50 in Worthington Chamber Checks.

Also new this year are free Barre, Pilates and Yoga classes. These classes will are scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. at Studios on Fifth.

There will be a lunch served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at BenLee’s, which will be offering a parmesan chicken and pasta bar lunch special. The meal is sponsored in part by Avera Medical Group Worthington.

“It will be a buffet-style lunch so ladies can come in for a nice lunch and get back to shopping, which is what the day is really all about.” BenLee’s General Manager Debbie Petersen said. “It’s a very busy day for us, but we’re really excited about it.”

The day of shopping ends at 3 p.m. with the scavenger hunt grand prize drawing at Memorial Auditorium. The winner must be present to claim the prize.
