Suspect arrested in Iowa burglaries

PRIMGHAR, Iowa -- The O'Brien County Sheriff's Office has reported the arrest of a suspect in the investigation into business burglaries that occurred during the late spring and summer of 2012.

Matthew Schoneman, 20, of Ashton, Iowa, was arrested Saturday and charged with three counts of third-degree burglary, a Class D Felony; three counts of fifth-degree theft, a simple misdemeanor; and two counts of fifth-degree criminal mischief, a simple misdemeanor.

Burglaries at the Primghar Pizza Ranch and Primghar Public Library were reported May 15, 2012, and the Pizza Ranch again on June 26, 2012.

Bond for Schoneman was set at $5,000. He remains in the O'Brien County Jail and will appear in district court at a later date.
