TROJAN BOYS TENNIS: Worthington knocks off Lac qui Parle Valley
MADISON -- The Worthington Trojan boys' tennis team knocked off Lac qui Parle Valley 6-1 to get their second win of the year Friday.
The Trojans only loss came at No. 1 singles when Carter Linder fell to Jess Hansen 6-0 and 6-2.
Andrew Johnson picked up Worthington's first points of the day when he defeated Trevor Sigdahl 6-0, 6-0 in two sets at No. 2 singles. No. 3 singles player A.J. Hayenga lost just one game in a 6-1, 6-0 win over Hunter Olson, while No. 4 singles player Ben Doeden took down Conrad Matthies 6-0 and 6-0.
At No. 1 doubles, Dillion Pederson and Nick Newman won their match 6-1 and 6-2, while Issac Houselog and Kody Honius also swept their two matches 6-0, 6-2. The No. 3 doubles team of Levi Blanchard and Bryan Doeden got a 6-0, 6-2 win over their opponents.
The Trojans (2-1) host Yellow Medicine East Monday.
