Worthington improves to 19-5 overall and will play fifth-seeded Windom Tuesday in St. James at 6 p.m. The Saints end their season with a record of 4-19.

Kemper (19 points, four steals) and Boever (13 points, 11 rebounds and five steals) sparked the Trojans, who built a huge 42-10 halftime lead behind balanced scoring and solid defense during the initial 18 minutes of play.

"It was a good night for us overall," Worthington head coach Eric Lindner said after the game. "The kids played hard and we tried a lot of different things defensively. We were able to create some turnovers which led to easy baskets and we hit some shots in our half-court offensive sets, as well."

The Trojans established control of the action right out of the gate, taking quick leads of 7-0 and 14-2 within the opening four minutes of the first half.

Kemper and K.C. Riley (five points) each hit a 3-pointer from the left corner, Boever scored twice in the lane, Paige Gravenhof (eight points, five rebounds) had a breakaway layup, and Abbie Landgaard (six points, five rebounds) knocked down a 12-footer in transition for Worthington early on.

The Trojans got multiple defensive stops and during one stretch held the Saints scoreless for nearly eight straight minutes, widening the gap to 30-7 by the 4:49 mark and then taking a 38-9 bulge after Brooke Henning (four points, four assists) and Whitney Coriolan (seven points, five rebounds) scored back-to-back baskets in the low-post area.

Apiew Alwal, Rebecca Linder, Allie Bruns and Tracy Thongvanh each scored two points for Worthington, which maintained command throughout the second half and moves on to the next round of the playoffs.

The Trojans outrebounded the Saints 43-37 and forced St. James to turn the ball over 22 times, with 17 of those coming on steals.

St. James shot just 10 percent (4-for-40) from inside the arc and was 4-for-17 from 3-point range in the game. The Saints were 7-for-11 from the free-throw line and were led by Emily Hurley with 10 points.
