TROJAN GIRLS' SOCCER: Trojan girls' soccer falls to Austin
AUSTIN -- The Worthington Trojan girls' soccer team fell to Austin 5-0 in a soccer match Saturday.
"Austin came out really strong," WHS coach Emily Ahlquist said. "They controlled the ball for the whole game, and they deserved to win."
Austin took the lead in the first with three unanswered goals.
"They outplayed us throughout the whole game," Ahlquist said. "We didn't have a strong game."
Two more goals got by the Trojans' goalie in the second half as Austin pulled away for good.
"Overall, they just outplayed us," Ahlquist said. "We couldn't control the ball or the middle of the field at all."
The Trojans travel to Loyola Tuesday for a 5 p.m. match before returning home Thursday to take on Mankato West.
