Trojettes finish in third place in jazz
COTTONWOOD -- Some times in athletics the "call" never comes. For the Worthington Trojettes' dance team, that call came Thursday night at Lakeview High School.
For the first time in the four years Tasha Raymo has coached the Trojettes, the varsity squad got the call when the top three teams were announced.
The varsity finished third in jazz among the eight teams competing.
"It was great," Raymo said. "We've never heard our name be called before."
The junior varsity finished first in jazz as well.
"Meet the Trojettes Night" is Thursday at Worthington High School with the junior varsity Trojettes performing at halftime of the junior varsity boys' basketball game versus Luverne and the varsity Trojettes performing at halftime of the 7:30 p.m. varsity boys' basketball game versus Luverne.
The next competition for the Trojettes will be at sections Feb. 11 at Montevideo High School.
