BREWSTER -- A Worthington man died Thursday after a rollover crash north of Brewster in Graham Lakes Township, according to information from the Nobles County Sheriff's Office.

Jose Alexander Lopez, 25, of Worthington, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Brewster Fire Department was dispatched at 12:02 p.m. after a call reported a truck on fire with a person trapped inside in the 15700 block of Town Avenue. At the scene, the truck was inverted and in flames.

The pickup had rolled after possibly sliding on loose gravel, authorities believe, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle and roll into the ditch.

A juvenile passenger in the vehicle was transported to Sanford Regional Medical Center Worthington, treated and released.

The accident is under investigation. Assisting at the scene was the Worthington Police Department and the Minnesota State Patrol.
