Wellness Partners focuses on Medicare
WORTHINGTON — Sanford Worthington Medical Center sponsors weekly Wellness Partners clinics at sites in Worthington, Brewster, Round Lake and Lakefield: 8 to 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, Round Lake Senior Citizens Center; 10 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Lakefield Multipurpose Center; 12:30 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Brewster Senior Center; 2:15 to 3:30 p.m., The Center for Active Living, Worthington; 8 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, Homestead Cooperative, Worthington; 10:15 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Worthington Area YMCA; 1 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sunshine Apartments, Worthington; 1 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Okabena Towers (residents only), Worthington.
Wellness Partners is a wellness clinic for people age 55 and older. Seniors can meet with a nurse to discuss their medications, lab tests, blood pressure or other health-related concerns. The goal is to improve the quality of life of seniors.
Once a month, there is an educational program on a health-related topic presented by staff from Sanford Worthington Medical Center as well as other health-care providers in the community. The presentation for September is “Medicare Part 3,” presented by Gail Radke from Senior Linkage Line. The dates are: 10 a.m. Tuesday, Lakefield Multipurpose Center; 10 a.m. Wednesday, Homestead Cooperative, Worthington; 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sunshine Apartments, Worthington; 1 p.m. Thursday, Okabena Towers, Worthington.
