Woman killed in crash identified
INWOOD, Iowa — The Iowa State Patrol has released the name of the woman killed in an accident Friday night near Inwood.
Jacob Kennet, 18, of Le Mars, Iowa, was westbound on county road A34, about two miles north of Inwood. According to the patrol, he ran the stop sign and struck the vehicle driven by Bliek, which had been southbound on Iowa 182, according to the patrol.
Bliek was pronounced dead at the scene, and a passenger in the Kennet vehicle, Timothy Farmer, 34, of Iowa City, Iowa, was taken by Avera Careflight helicopter to Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D. Kennet was transported by personal vehicle to Hegg Memorial Hospital in Rock Valley.
Both vehicles sustained $8,000 in damages. According to the report, no charges have been filed.
