WORTHINGTON -- Determined not to look too far ahead, yet acknowledging that one solid performance isn't going to be enough to win the VFW District 3 baseball tournament, Worthington Post 3958 coach T.D. Hostikka is lining up his chess pieces for this weekend's action.


"We have the ability to do some things. We have to maintain focus and show up the whole time," Hostikka said.

Doug Wolter is the Daily Globe sports editor. He served as sports reporter, then sports editor, news editor and finally managing editor at the Daily Globe for 22 years before leaving for seven years to work as night news editor at the Mankato Free Press in Mankato.
