Writing contest offered to readers
WORTHINGTON — The Daily Globe is offering a writing contest to readers in conjunction with its Nov. 27 holiday edition.
The theme for the 2013 Daily Globe Holiday Writing Contest is “Making spirits bright.” Readers may submit essays describing how someone brightened their holiday spirits to the Daily Globe, 300 11th St., Box 639, Worthington, 56187, or e-mail them to email@example.com. Please indicate “writing contest” in the subject line.
Essays are due Nov. 20. They should be about 500 words in length and include the name of the writer, his/her hometown, address and daytime phone number.
The contest will be judged by members of the Daily Globe staff. Prizes will be awarded.
