YMCA board approves new members
WORTHINGTON — At its annual meeting on Nov. 25, the Worthington Area YMCA approved new members to its Board of Directors. All directors are elected by nomination from the Board Development Committee and Board of Directors, and then voted on by the eligible membership of the YMCA at the annual meeting.
New members elected to three-year terms are: Colin O’Donnell, Lisa Gerdes, Mike Hammer and Chad Nixon. Chuck Moore was re-elected to a second three-year term.
“We are very excited for the addition of these new members to the board. They bring a diverse background of experience and expertise that will greatly enhance the makeup of the Y Board of Directors,” said Mike Woll, YMCA board president.
“The Y has seen many changes over the years and these additions to a continued strong Y Board of Directors is very important,” added YMCA Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer Andy Johnson. “I am very excited to work with the existing board along with these great new additions in the coming year.”
Existing members of the board are: Woll, Bob Jirele, vice president, Maggie Gaudian, Joe Vander Kooi, Jonah Beckermann, Sarah Hayenga, Diane Graber, Jeff Williamson, Jeff Luke, Jessica Noble, Glenn Thuringer and Andrew Titus.
