The Daily Globe editorial on page A4 of Friday's edition did not intend to blame the Nobles County Fair Board for circumstances surrounding the Nobles County Speedway closure. The intent was to suggest that another entity may be responsible for the speedway not being fully aware of its tax obligations, given that dozens of race tracks across Minnesota are currently under investigation for failure to pay sales taxes.
ADRIAN -- The Nobles County Sheriff's Office assisted a vehicle that was in the ditch at 8:16 a.m. Friday on Nobles County 15.
WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department investigated an accident at 3:15 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Miller Street and Burlington Avenue. The city's street department that a fire hydrant had been hit.
BREWSTER -- The Nobles County Sherriff investigated harassing communication reported at 4:20 p.m. Thursday from the 200 block of Ninth Avenue.
WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department investigated a burglary reported at 10:44 p.m. Thursday from the 700 block of Eighth Avenue.
WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department investigated a suspicious person report regarding a male removing snow and intentionally burying a vehicle at 6:46 a.m. Friday.
ROUND LAKE -- The Nobles County Sheriff's Office investigated a report of a woman threatening to harm herself at 3:30 p.m. Friday on Rohrer Street.
