BEAVER CREEK — The Minnesota State Patrol investigated a motorcycle accident reported at 9:40 a.m. Sunday on Interstate 90 near the state line. A 2009 Harley Davidson operated by Erin M. Goulet, 25, of Alberta, Canada, swerved and ejected its driver, and eventually came to rest across the median in a ditch. Goulet suffered a non-life-threatening injury.


WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Ambulance was dispatched to assist a male that had fallen at 1:58 a.m. Saturday at Okabena Towers.

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Ambulance was dispatched to assist a female having trouble breathing at 2:06 a.m. Sunday on the 1400 block of Hillcrest Avenue.

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Ambulance was dispatched to assist a person that fell at 10:35 a.m. Sunday on the 900 block of Liberty Drive.


LISMORE — The Lismore Fire Department was dispatched for a country fire at 7:25 p.m. Friday to 15648 Abbott Avenue.


ROCK RAPIDS, Iowa — The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by the Iowa DNR, arrested Adam A. Anderson, 28, of Rock Rapids, following a search at his residence in the 300 block of South Marshall Street. Anderson was charged with second-degree theft, manufacturing marijuana, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is accused of committing several thefts of scrap metals from a salvage yard. While searching for evidence related to those thefts, officers found several marijuana plants growing in buckets in his basement, as well as a hydroponic planter.

SIBLEY, Iowa — The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office investigated an explosion reported at 11:38 a.m. Saturday at the TimeWell Drainage plant, 1200 Ninth Ave. According to witnesses, an explosion occurred inside the plant while employees of TimeWell, electricians from Current Electric of Sibley and City of Sibley Utilities workers for switching over electrical lines. Two ambulances from Sibley and one from Ashton, Iowa, were dispatched to the scene. Five male victims who had varying degrees of burns to their bodies, and all five were transported to Osceola Community Hospital, Sibley. Two of the victims were later air-lifted to Avera Medical Center, Sioux Falls, S.D., and two other victims taken there by ambulance. Two of the injured men worked for TimeWell; the other three were employees of Current Electric.

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Police Department issued a warning for loud music at 11:37 p.m. Saturday at 1310 and 1301 6th Avenue.
