Correction

The Worthington ALC does not have National Honor students at the school. Students were incorrectly listed as honor students in the special graduation supplement issued with Friday’s edition. Additionally, the photo of ALC students was taken by Rhina Galvez.

Crashes

PIPESTONE — The Minnesota State Patrol investigated a crash reported at 7:03 a.m. Monday from U.S. 75, 1½ miles south of Pipestone. A 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche operated by Frankly Armando Munoz Donis, 25, of Pipestone and a 1995 Ford Ranger operated by Scott Wayne Lopau, 53, of Pipestone were both traveling southbound on U.S. 75. The Ford Ranger slowed to make a left turn into Hocking International when the Chevy Avalanche struck it while attempting to pass. Both vehicles entered the ditch, re-entered the highway and come to rest on the southbound shoulder. Lopau sustained a non-life-threatening injury and was transported to Pipestone Hospital, while Donis was uninjured. The Pipestone County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Police Department investigated a hit-and-run crash reported at 1:55 p.m. Monday from the 1200 block of Ryan’s Road.

Ambulance

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Ambulance was dispatched at 12:18 p.m. Monday to the 1500 block of Joosten Road for an adult male who fell and broke his leg.

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Police Department received a report of a scam at 5:46 p.m. Sunday from the 1300 block of Grand Avenue.

RUSHMORE — The Nobles County Sheriff’s Office investigated a dog attack reported at 8:01 p.m. Sunday from the 100 block of North Seney Avenue.

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Police Department investigated a theft reported at 8:24 p.m. Sunday from Centennial Ballfield.

SIBLEY, Iowa — The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office arrested Michael Dylan Dakin, 24, of Colorado Springs, Colo., on Monday for allegedly operating while under the influence-first offense and possession of a controlled substance-marijuana first offense. He was transported and booked into the Osceola County Jail, where he was being held on a $2,000 bond. The arrest stemmed from a traffic stop at the intersection of Pierce Avenue and Osceola County A22/170th Street.

RUSHMORE — The Nobles County Sheriff’s Office investigated a report of a suspicious male at 10:06 a.m. Monday on Nobles County 35.

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Police Department investigated a theft reported at 1:13 p.m. Monday from the 1500 block of Darling Drive.

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Police Department investigated disorderly conduct reported at 3:08 p.m. Monday from the 1200 block of Fifth Avenue.

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Police Department investigated a report of a sex crime at 3:23 p.m. Monday from the 1200 block of Fifth Avenue.
