MONTEVIDEO — With runs coming in bunches for Adrian Area Saturday afternoon, the Dragons stayed alive with a 13-3 victory over Chokio-Alberta/Herman-Norcross in the Section 3A softball playoffs.
The Dragons scored four times in the third inning, three times in the fifth and five times in the seventh for the 10-run victory.
Karli Meyer earned the victory, allowing three earned runs on six hits while walking six and striking out 14.
Sam Lynn had a pair of singles, a triple and drove in four runs to lead the Dragons offensively.
Kaitlin Banck had two singles and scored three times, while Melissa Weidert had a single. Courtney Dreesen scored three times for the Dragons.

MONTEVIDEO — The AA offense had 12 hits and scored five times to stay alive in the Section 3A softball playoffs with a victory over Morris Area.
Meyer allowed one earned run on five hits while walking one and striking out four.
Weidert had two doubles and a single, while Brooke Kramer had a pair of singles, a double and scored twice. Banck (RBI) and Shania Lonneman each had two singles.
Adrian Area will face Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunberg today in Montevideo with game time slated for 3 p.m.

MONTEVIDEO — Behind the strong pitching of Steph Utech and a trio of Eagles with multiple hits, Windom defeated Wheaton in a Section 3A softball playoff game Saturday.
Utech allowed three earned runs on three hits while walking five and striking out eight in a complete-game victory.
Karissa Borsgard (two hits) scored twice, while Malori Paplow (two hits) also scored a pair of runs. Megan Mattson had two hits, scored twice and drove in three runs to lead the Eagles.

MONTEVIDEO — With just six hits between the two teams, it was the Falcons who avoided elimination with a victory over the Windom Eagles Saturday.
Audra Schmidt allowed one run on two hits while walking one and striking out 10 for Red Rock Central/Westbrook-Walnut Grove.
Utech suffered the loss for Windom, allowing two runs on four hits while walking three and striking out four.
Mattson had a double and drove in Brosgard, while Mikayla Bergendahl had the other Windom hit.
Of the four Falcon hits, Kelly Shaner had three of them, and drove in a run. Shannon Altermatt had the other RRC/W-WG hit and scored both runs.
RRC/W-WG will play MACCRAY today at 3 p.m. in Montevideo in another elimination contest.

MONTEVIDEO — RRC/W-WG’s Altermatt and Shaner led the Falcons to a six-run victory Saturday.
Altermatt (three hits) scored three times, while Shaner (three hits) had a double and drove in a run. Abby Halter added an RBI triple for the Falcons.
Schmidt picked up the victory for the Falcons, allowing one run on four this while striking out five and walking none.

MONTEVIDEO — Maddy Robinson allowed two earned runs on three hits while striking out six to lead Murray County Central to victory Saturday.
Elissa Reinsma, Maddy Robinson, Alyssa Claar, Meghan Hartle and Steph Ahlschlager each had two hits, while Kate Robinson drove in three runs.
Maddy Robinson scored two runs in the game.

Maddy Robinson allowed 13 earned runs on 13 hits while stiking out seven to suffer the loss.
All nine players had at least one hit for MCC, as Dani Onken had three hits and scored twice.
Maddy Robinson, Kate Robinson, Claar (two runs), Hartle (two RBI), Ahlschlager (three runs, two RBI) and Abby VanMeveren all had two hits, while Reinsma drove in two.
