Generals defeat Lions, 9-7

SIBLEY, Iowa — Behind a strong pitching performance from Matt Juber, the Sibley-Ocheyedan Generals improved to 2-2 in the Siouxland Conference with a victory over Central Lyon in a baseball game Wednesday.

Juber allowed five runs while walking two and striking out seven in six innings.

Offensively, Craig Jacobsma had three doubles and drove in four, while Greg Hiemstra had two hits and Juber added two hits to help his own cause.

The Generals (2-5 overall) will be at the Lyon County tournament Saturday
