Windom in second place after first day

BECKER — The Windom boys fired a first-day total of 326 and sit in second place at the Class A boys’ state golf meet Wednesday. Meadow Creek Christian is the lone team ahead of the Eagles, with a team score of 312.

Jordan Stahl led the Eagles with a 79, while Jared Heger and Hunter Johnson each carded an 80.

Individually, Stahl is tied for ninth, while Grant Wayland from Bethlehem Academy is leading with a first-round 73.

Heger and Johnson are each tied for 16th overall.

Tate Lindvall carded an 87 to round out Windom’s scoring, while Adam Eisenmenger finished with an 89.

Individually, Red Rock Central’s Blake Walker finished with an 83 and is tied for 30th, while Westbrook-Walnut Grove’s Derek Eichner finished with an 85 and is tied for 40th after the first day.

Adrian’s Brittany Loosbrock carded a 103 to tie for 24th individually on the girls’ side of the Class A tournament, while Red Rock Central’s Caitlyn DeCock finished with a 110 to put her alone in 46th.

Vickie Lau of Tracy-Milroy-Balaton carded a 111 and is tied for 47th.

Natalie Lansing of Mounds Park Academy fired an 80 and has a six-stroke lead after the first day.
