Brief: Okoboji Summer Theatre tickets on sale Monday

OKOBOJI, Iowa — The Okoboji Summer Theatre will open its 51st season with the musical “Nunsense II” June 16-22.

OST Associate Artistic Director Lamby Hedge is directing and reprising her starring role as Mother Superior and will be joined by an ensemble cast.

The inside of the theater was full renovated last year, and this year the Anne Thorne Weaver Patio has been refurbished outside.

Curtain times are 8:00 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, 4:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, and 6:00 p.m. on Sunday. The box office opens for the season on Monday. Tickets may be purchased by calling the box office, (712) 332-7773 or by stopping by the window. Two-for-one specials are available for students on Wednesday and Thursday evenings and for senior citizens for Saturday’s 4:30 p.m. matinee and Sunday’s 6:00 p.m. performance. Discounts are available for groups of 16 or more.

On Friday evenings, OST offers a baby-sitting service and “Backstage with Beth,” a post-show discussion hosted by OST Artistic Director Beth Leonard.
