Worthington defeats Marshall Orange, 10-0

WORTHINGTON — Behind a pair of solid pitching performances, the Worthington VFW team defeated Marshall Orange 10-0 in six innings Thursday.

WORTHINGTON — Behind a pair of solid pitching performances, the Worthington VFW team defeated Marshall Orange 10-0 in six innings Thursday.

Tyler Stugelmeyer did not allow a hit in four innings to earn the victory for Worthington, while Ethan Duffy allowed two hits in two innings as the two combined for a shutout.

At the plate, Stuart Rogers had three hits, including a double and an RBI, while Octavio Jiminez, Mitchell Jensen and Kirk McBreen all had a pair of hits for a Worthington offense that had 12 hits in the game.

Worthington will be at the Hutchinson tournament today and Sunday.
