Brett Nowotny had a pair of hits and drove in two runs for Adrian, now 3-1 overall. Also contributing offensively were Adam Diekmann (two hits, three runs scored) Glen Kruger (two hits, RBI) and Matt Gades (one hit, one RBI).
Taylor Loosbrock allowed no earned runs over the game’s final four innings to pick up the pitching win. He allowed three hits and struck out one batter in relief of John Archer, who went the first three innings while allowing two hits and fanning three.
Justin Riensma suffered the loss on the mound for Slayton, hurling the first five frames.
Adrian will play Fairmont at noon today in a tournament in Jackson.
