Services: Lena Kruger

Lena Kruger, 90, of Ashton, died Saturday, June 21, 2008, at Sanford Senior Care, Sheldon.

Surviving are seven children, Marlys (Chuck Barringer) Osburn, Las Vegas, Nev., Virginia (Burdell) Meinerts, Little Rock, Iowa, Bertrice (Don) Moore, Las Vegas, Delores (Lloyd) Krull, George, Iowa, Thelma Hatting, Ashton, Helmer (Joyce) Kruger, Westminster, Colo., and Lyle (Gale) Kruger, Cherokee, Iowa; one brother, Merlyn (Judy) Johnson, Ashton; two sisters, Christina Freese, Ashton, and Esther Krogman, Ashton; 49 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m., at Jurrens Funeral Home, Ashton.

The service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church, Ashton, with the Rev. Dale Lint officiating. Burial will follow the luncheon at Zion Presbyterian Cemetery, rural George, Iowa.
