On behalf of the Board of Directors of Worthington Area United Way, I would like thank the Daily Globe for the generous sponsorship of the beach chair auction during this year’s Windsurfing Regatta and Unvarnished Music Festival. Proceeds from this event were designated to the Worthington Area United Way. This year’s auction raised $5,000 and will go to the local United Way to help support this year’s campaign goal of $135,000. It will also help support 21 agencies this year who were designated funds from our local organization.
A special thanks, also, to the Windsurfing Regatta board of directors, volunteers and businesses who donated the painted beach chairs, and of course the individuals who purchased the beach chairs during the auction.
Thanks to everyone who has contributed to this year’s Worthington Area United Way campaign. For those who have not yet contributed, there is still time, as we are only $6,754.78 short of meeting our goal for this year.
