Brief: New scientist at Newport

WORTHINGTON — Kamesh Sirigireddy is the newest scientist to join Newport’s Research and Development team.

A native of India, Sirigireddy earned his Bachelor of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry from the College of Veterinary Sciences, A. N. G. R. Agricultural University, Hyderabad, India. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. from the College of Veterinary Medicine, Kansas State University.

At Newport, Sirigireddy will focus primarily on development of control strategies for new and emerging pathogens. He will also be responsible for creating and executing various projects involving discovery research, product development and improvement, and licensing of new biologicals.
