Brief: Author to present writer's workshop

WORTHINGTON — Iowa author Jean Tennant will offer a Writers’ Seminar and Workshop through Worthington Community Education from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. The event is for anyone interested in writing books, magazine articles, short stories, personal essays, children’s books, screenplays or other works.

Topics include selecting a manuscript idea, sharpening writing skills, formatting a manuscript, copyrighting material, writing a query letter, agents and more.

Tennant has published several novels, 200 short stories and newspaper articles and children’s picture books.
